| Re: Heavy head and tongue numbness
I have the same type of symptoms with my migraines. It starts with my tongue and my mouth, then my arms and so forth. I have an appointment with a neuroligist next week. I think it's important to look into this further to get you on the right medication.
Last summer I spent two day in hospital after seeing my doctor with the following symptoms: Heavy head and tongue numbness on the left side, difficulty to concentrate, walk and talk, intense pain at the base of the scull still on the left side and general tiredness. At the time I had an MRI which did not show anything abnormal and was sent home being told that it was a severe type of migraine.
For the past week, the same symptoms have come back and I do not know what to do. My head is very heavy, the lesft side of my tongue is rather numb and I feel very tired and rather stressed about my general state.
Should I go back to the same doctor or go see a specialist, and if yes, which one?[/QUOTE]
