Please help - Strange head pains - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

Hi all, I've been having some strange symptoms for the past 2 months. I'm a 21-year-old female who's pretty much never been sick. Well a couple of months ago I will get these random sharp pains in my head several times a day. When I wake up in the morning, I am completely symptom free, but a few hours later I will start getting them. There's a few places where they seem to be pretty frequent - top of my head, behind the ears, and the back of my head. They're pretty mild to be honest and they don't affect my ability to do anything. Sometimes I will also get a dull pressure headache in the front of my head, and sometimes I get these weird sensations, like someone is holding an ice cube to the inside of my skull for a few seconds(also very minor). I have no other symptoms(no nausea, no blurred vision, no dizziness, nothing), but I know I have some dental/jaw problems. My blood pressure's usually exactly where it should be. I also started working in a very chaotic emergency room about 5 months ago. I've noticed that if I worry about these pains more, they happen more. If someone could PLEASE help me with this and tell me what might be going on I would really appreciate it!

ive been getting these pains too. i usually get them about once a month for about a day. it's usually in the back of my head on the right side but sometimes it moves around. they come in episodes and last for a few seconds at a time. have you ever talked to your doctor about these pains? i still havent. theyve only been happening the past couple months. i thought it was a sinus infection but im only day 8 of 10 of antibiotics and i dont really feel any better. do you have any thoughts on what it could be? it scares me but of course the more i think about it the more it happens. do you have allergies? sinus problems? headaches? i get all three and im hoping that these sharp zinging pains have something to do with one of those three things and not something more serious. any thoughts? oh by the way im only 25, i noticed your 21, we're too young to be worrying so much!

I've gotten suggestions from people at work(I work at a hospital) of a cervical(neck) spinal problem, TMJ, teeth grinding, tension, or some combination of those. I get these several times a day and they worsen as the day goes on but I'm only rating the pain as a 3/10 at most. They come on very suddenly and last for a few seconds. As long as you don't have any other symptoms(such as nausea, dizziness, etc) it's probably something like that. Hope that helps, if I get any more info I'll post it!
