Chronic Tension Headache, Stiff Neck, Lower Back Pain, Stiff Hamstrings?
So I just joined this message board, hoping to find some info/relief on tension headaches.
I just started getting tension headaches about 2 months ago. I've been working a computer desk job for about 6 months now. I know my posture is one of the main reasons I get tension headaches.
I 've had 5 episodes in total, lasting 2 days to a week. My first tension headache was the most severe and it was an extreme throbbing, that left me in bed for a day and I could barely walk.
My more recent episodes have been less severe and start out with neck pain for a few minutes, then the headache. Eventually I get pain in my lower back (right above the pelvic area) and my hamstrings start tightening up, making it difficult to walk.
What can I do to combat these headaches?
What should I eat? (I'm vegetarian)
What can I do at work that will help?
What are some good exercises?
Those are a few questions I have, if you have any insight or suggestions, let me know. I really don't want to keep living like this, I'm only 20 years old, I want to be active and I can't with these headaches.
Thank you for any help, it's greatly appreciated.
