Darvocet has been proven to be a less than optimal pain reliever for moderate to severe pain. It is still used but extensive testing has shown that it doesn't work as well as it was once thought to work so it is not something docs prescribe a whole lot these days. Also Darvocet was found to be one of those drugs where the generic version was not nearly as effective as the brand name. Hopefully others posters will post their opinions on how this drug worked for them.
Hello Mollymarie, Yes I do take darvocet for my headaches, and they do help if I take them as soon as I feel the headache coming on, and if it gets to bad then I've had to double the dose, but you can give them a try, everybody is different.
