3 week headache - Headaches & Migraines Message Board

I have had this headache for a little over three weeks now. It started when I took an "Energy Formula" pill by pharmasure. I had taken many before but this time instead of the adrenaline rush it gives me it produced pressure at my left temple. It felt as though my head would burst! I ate something soon after and it subsided, but it still lingered, although not nearly as strong. I still have the pain three weeks later but the pain is now focused in the area next to my left ear and less pain; although still present, in the temple and eye area as before. Ive taken Bayer aspirin but to no avail. Im hoping that the energy pills had nothing to do with it but they more than likely do - they contain ephidrine, ginseng, and guarana. I would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this.

Any headache that lasts longer than a couple of days and is not relieved with over the counter medication needs to be seen by the doc. Those energy products are dangerous when they contain ephedrine and can cause heart problems, strokes and even death. Ginseng has the side effect of headaches too. Since this headache continues you need to see your doc and get this checked out to be sure it is nothing serious.
