Every time I bend down or bend over I get this pain in the back of my head. It seems a bit dull at first but it gets stronger until its pounding.....but as soon as I stand back up it goes away. The more often I do it....the more it hurts each time...it builds up. It's been like that for two weeks now. Kinda weird I think and I'm just a tad bit curious as to what's wrong.
Oh, and I already saw a doctor, and they told me its a nerve in my head that I'm probably upsetting somehow but they are not too sure. *coughs* Bull!! *coughs some more* Cheap doctor! Nah, she's not a specialist and she was about as boggled as I was but said I shouldn't worry about it as long and Im not gettin dizzy or blurred vision along with it or any other strange symptoms.
I have a really scary low bloodpreasure and I have the same problem. Have you checked on your bp yet? I get it because when i change my position like getting up from a chair or bending down and getting up again, my blood just flows too slowly and I get a headache or even dizzly. Sometimes I even fall on the floor:-(
Low blood-pressure eh? Sounds like a possibility because my bp is usually pretty low. And in the past I would get dizzy real easy from fast movements like getting up too quick, I'll check on that, thanks!
I have the same painful feeling whenever I bend over it feels like all the blood has rushed to my head and causes a feeling of pressure and pain for a few minutes, otherwise it is dull. Everyone says it sounds like a sinus headache, but I do not have other sinus like symptoms. I do have low blood pressure, so I was curious to find out if you have found a connection btw the two, since my doctor seems clueless. I am definitely starting to get concerned since the pressure and pain has not responded to any medication. What do you think?
My aunt had a tumour in her brain, and she also experienced pain when she bent down. It took several years before the doctors found out what it was and the tumour could be removed. When we talked to a doctor friend, she was surprised that it took so long for the doctors to find the tumour as one of the symptoms of having a tumour in the place that she had is to experience pain when bending down.
Maybe you should talk to your docotor about this and consider seing a specialist.
What other sinus symptoms are you expecting to have along with this dull pain that increases when you bend over? Sometimes this is all you really have when have severe sinusitis. If you have had this dull ache/sinus pressure for a while it could very well be sinusitis.
HI, thanks for your help. I actually had an MRI done last week and it showed no tumors, sinusitis or anything out of the ordinary. However, my doctor said that if the pain continues I should have an MRA done. Has anyone ever heard of this? She said it checks the arteries in the brain and is really the only way to check for anuerisms and blood flow. I just don't understand why I would have to go through that twice. My grandmother died in March from a massive anuerism that killed her instantly. So that is always on my mind as well, since they say it can be hereditary. I'm wondering if I should just have this MRA done for peace of mind. The pressure from bending has definitely subsided, but I still do have a slight headache here and there. My doctor also said she would not attribute the head pressure to low blood pressure. I was always wondering if hormones could play a part? Thanks for listening and any insight!
