I know there are a lot of posts about migraines in this section, but i just wanted to see if any of them are connected to my problems with them.

The other day I got the worst migraine of my life. I had just stepped out of the shower, and was in my room blow drying my hair when i noticed that i was having trouble seeing. I had my glasses off, so I thought it might be that...so i tried looking through my glasses, but it was the same. It was like around the edges of my eyes was really blurry. My head started to hurt just a tiny bit, but i didn't pay any attention, I just got some eye drops, because I thought maybe I had gotten some shampoo or something in my eyes without noticing it. I did that, and after a while, my eyesight was normal again, but I had a headache.

I shrugged off the headache, and got ready for work, and as I was heading out the door it got worse....just in the right side of my head was this pressure. I thought it would go away though, so i got in the car, and headed to work. But on the way there, I got motion sickness because the pain was so bad, and I started crying. The tears somehow made it feel better. But I couldn't work. I only lasted for an hour at work, and the whole time I was in the breakroom with the lights off, crying, because the pain was excruciating. I had to get someone to pick me up and take me home, and the rest of the day I layed in the floor in the bathroom because I felt like I was going to throw up, but I never did. The migraine lasted from 6:00- 10:30. And the next day, I felt like I was having small relapses of the pain shooting through the right side of my head, and I was dizzy.

It's been weeks since that has happened, and it hasn't happened again. But I can't help but think that I should worry about this. I definitely never want it to happen again. I've never had a migraine that serious before. I've only had a few migraines in my whole life. Do you think I have anything to worry about?

Any new ha should be reported to your dr. and you should be examined. Exspecially if this was different to any other headache you have had in the past. Different in onset, different in intensity, different in duration, etc. should be reported to a dr. neurologists are the best drs to see for ha. If this is the same kind of migrane you have had before or similar to it you wouldn't need to see a dr. Just get plenty of rest and let it pass. I think it sounds like a typical migrane but since you said this was unlike any other ha you have had before you probably should see a dr. That way you can get medicine to fight it appropriatly the next time it happens.

i have had migraines for ever now but have only had that egde vision loss three times and only in one eye at a time , it was very scary the first time, i was looking in the mirror trying to see if my eyes looked different,and the last time that happened i had a migraine the next day, i spoke to my childrens eye dr about it last mth and she said they were cause from migraines and that you can get the blurry edge vision loss even without having an actual head ~hurting~ migraine, the last time i lost vision it lasted 13 minutes,

Any headache that severe should be checked by the doc as it could be a sign of something more serious like an aneurysm. See your doc though and get this checked out.

well iam new here but ive had migraines sence i was little and everytime I have blurred vision in one eye either at the side or front or underneith and I go numb usually in the hands and mouth, and I get sick, it lasts for about all day it comes about every 3 months and my doctor said it was tension headachs, but iam still scared i have had brain waves and scans and they said it was perfect can any one give me some advice and let me know what you think
