I've had weird head pains for 5 months now, but what's really bothering me is the brain fog. I'm finding it difficult to type right now because of it. I'm a writer and can barely string a sentence together which is causing me huge anxiety. I was diagnosed with anaemia and put on oral iron just before the head pains started. I read that human serum inhibits fungal growth but not in the presence of saturated transferrin which makes me wonder if the iron load could have triggered some candida or other fungal overgrowth. My doctor dismissed the idea & am waiting to see a consultant but I just know it's going to be one of those chronic mystery ailments. Has anyone tried anti-fungal diets/remedies for their brain fog? I already have a low carb, zero sugar diet because sugar bloats me instantly. Anyone know of any good herbals.

Get online and check out symptoms of low (or high) thyroid. That can cause brain fog and headaches.

hey, been having this problem for past 2 years and just feel useless, but still aint giving up..started on a night out clubbing.. after that day throat clicks... left ear rings... sleepless nights.. brain gog.. pains in neck and headches which i just cant really explain its mental aswell as physical its like its caused by a heavy feeling and eyesballs wondering rapidly.. doctors treating me with depression with mirtazipine,which i figure i do have but i dont know whether the dpression is causing the pain or the pain has caused the depression it feels like im going insane.. sumdays worse sumdays not so bad but mental state is jus at all time low.. used to love life! but now i duno.. jus this dreamworld im living in.. due to fog in head ear ringing and i dunno maybe sinus im not sure.. also muscles in neck pure tense.. i did have an mri which was like a year back it came back negative.. that was of the brain.. would that show problems with the ears and sinus problem.. or i hear A ct scan would show this.. jus need sum guidance on what u think would be best.. any help would be appreciated.. glad to hear am not alone! n hope all reading this with problems like mine get there life back on track nice 1 kays!!

I didn't read all of the responses, but I had something very similar and was finally rx'd with Migraine Associated Dizziness. Severe off balance, rocking sensation, pressure in head, headache behind eyes, I couldn't even go outside, it was awful. Lexapro was a LIFESAVER for me. With each increase in dosage I noticed symptoms going away. As symptoms went away I forced myself to do more...like walk around the block once until I worked myself to walking around a grocery store, etc. Now I can walk miles and be fine! I also took Topamax, an extremely low dose to help with things like florescent lighting. I am now off of the lexapro and on my final sliver of topamax. I'm so sorry your going through this, especially at such a young age (I was about your age when mine all started), but you will get through! Think posotive and keep seeing your doctor. Make them refer you to a specialist and be your own advocate. I finally saw a Neurotologist.

Hi all I have all the same symptoms you all have described. I have not been diagnosed with anything as of yet and had every test except the MRI which I am having soon. I just wanted to let you all know something that may HELP not eliminate but help your symptoms. Stop all Caffeine intake and no chocolate since it has caffeine in it, or ice cream because it can cause headaches anyway. I did this and that feeling didnt improve immediately it took like a week or so and it isnt completely gone but it has made a big difference and given me almost all good days with a few bad as opposed to all bad with like one good per month. Hope this helps some of you until we can all be diagnosed.
