Pain in the base of my skull
I have this pain in the base of my skull, not quite my neck. It was so severe yesterday that it made me nauseous and it woke me up out of my sleep. I couldn't get comfortable to get back to sleep for 2.5 hours. Today, the pain is still there, I think that it feels a little better only because I have learned from my movements yesterday how I can and cannot move. I can't turn my head without shooting pain. The pain is constant but it is more of a burning feeling when I am sitting still, not shooting. My vision seems a tiny bit blurred as well as my head feels like I am in water. It does not feel like a normal headache though. It hurts to even hold my head up. My head feels really heavy and I feel like I am straining just to hold it up. The pain seems to lessen (a small bit) if I rest my head on the back of the chair or in my hands. Does anyone have any advice as to what this could be. I don't want to end up going to the doctor and coming out with a $3000 bill for a simple headache. I have also tried over the counter tylenol and excederin migrane. Those did not help a bit. I even tried taking Vicadin, which I have had from my knee pains and those didn't help. PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks for any advice.
