Help! For the last 3 months I have been experiencing severe head and neck pain with a feeling of pressure and fullness in both ears, which keep crackling and popping. I have discovered a lump on my neck just to the right of my spine, however my G.P. seems to think this is a swollen gland! The pain in my head is excrutiating some days and I really think I have got a brain tumour or something equally horrific. I am due to see a neurologist and have a brain scan, but have been waiting 3 weeks for an appointment. The longer it goes on the more petrified I am becoming.
Seems your post comes close to what has been happening to me. The fullness in my head with my ears hurting. The pain sometimes gives me panic attacks which results in more problems. I wish the best for you. Doc has not gotten to the point of even referring me to anyone yet. But it will be forthcoming.

I have seen 3 doctors with this problem, all of which say it looks like panic attacks/anxiety. I have been prescribed antidepressants for this. I don't believe all my symptoms are caused by panic attacks, however I AM now starting to panic the longer this pain continues! I hope you get yourself sorted out soon. Good luck.
I agree, the panic attacks can certainly give you many problems in addition to any you already have. Doctor put me on zoloft at one point to assist me in not allowing my body to take over when my mind goes into a tail spin about pain. Good luck to you in your effort to obtain the best help for your condition.
Ever been checked for tmj or some other jaw disorder? Think about how everything in your neck/jaws/ears, etc. are connected. When I am tense I clench my jaws--I never realized this until my jaws locked up last year. Went to a specialist and had a custom fitted splint made and it has really helped.
