Pin-point pain in head, dizziness, stuffy ears, crackling neck

Hi everyone -

Do any of the above sound familiar to anyone? I also had mild nausea last week with the first "attack." Was driving, became dizzy, got a pain about 3 inches above the right eyebrow, and felt nauseous. Scalp felt "crawly" just above the pain point. The sunlight filtering through clouds seemed to greatly aggravate it. When I got home, I felt exhausted and slept for 12 hours.

Since then, I get the pain above the eyebrow intermittently, neck grinds constantly when I turn my head, and just feel slightly not right (though not really dizzy now) when I turn my head or eyes. I feel slightly better when the sun goes down and is not glaring in my eyes. My head feels a little stuffy - meaning when I chew food, I can hear myself chewing more than normal (if that makes sense).

Doctor thinks migraine but sending me for MRI. I'm really panicking until I get it and the results. (thinking brain tumor, of course). Any ideas (or kind thoughts) would be greatly appreciated. I'm a nervous wreck. Pam

Re: Pin-point pain in head, dizziness, stuffy ears, crackling neck

When I get a migraine my neck always feels stiff and crackly, and in the last two years I get a whoozy feeling with nausea -- not quite vertigo, but just really kind of lightheaded and off balance. My migraine pills actually help that, but I hate to take those becaues it kind of knocks me out and I can't work very well on them. I take Maxalt for my migraines, you might find that or Imitrex helpful.

I had many of those symptoms when I found out I had TMJ. You could also have a problem with your neck, maybe a herniated disk. My fiance had a brain tumor and I don't think you need to worry about that.
