I'm wondering what non-medication solutions others have found helpful for migraines. I can't stay home all the time (where it's dark and quiet) and I can't go around turning lights off everywhere I go--even though I'd really like to sometimes! I also can't go through life wishing the world was a quiet place. It's just not realistic and it doesn't make you very popular to tell everyone to shut up because the slightest noise makes your head feel like it will explode. Light and sound really irritate my daily migraines. I'm even trying to type this quietly.

So, I'd like to focus on what I can do and clearly pills alone are not the answer. Any practical suggestions? Thanks!
