| Migraines for a Month
I had a migraine for 4 1/2 weeks straight, 24/7. i tried ibuprofen, tylenol, aspirin, vicodin, percoset, imitrex, zomig, and a handful of other migraine medications. it was not a usual migraine for me. i usually get them one or two times a week and the normal meds work. but this was different. i saw my regular doctor about 7 or 8 times in this period. finally i saw another doctor at a pain management clinic and he put me on a course of steroid (prednisone) pills. well, i didnt have a migraine for 5 (five!) whole days straight! and it was awesome! but on the sixth day of taking the prednisone, my headache came back, and it gradually got worse. on the 7th day, it was the worst headache/migraine ive ever had in my entire life, ever. i went back to the pain management place and the doctor gave me two steroid shots in the back of my head and said that hopefully that will take my migraines away. its been 36 hours since i had the shots and the pain is still there. its not as bad as it was that day, but its still interferring with my life, and just sucks in general. what should i do???????? somebody please help.
