 headache that lasts for days

I am 29 years old and started getting frequent headaches about a year and a half ago. started out with just one a month, but now I am getting headaches for 7-8 days a month.
Headaches:
Pain is always restricted to right side. Starts in shoulders, travels up through right side of the neck, pain in right temple and behind right eye.
Pain lasts for days.
I have been getting 2 bouts of these headaches a month. They don't seem to be triggered by anything in particular.
No nausea, except for one time when the pain was so bad I could barely see from that eye and did become nauseous and actually vomited several times.
But, that was just the one time.
These headaches appear to be getting more frequent and more troublesome. No over the counter pain killers work. I have tried ibuprofen, Tylenol, Excedrin, Excedrin migraine . . . these don't help at all.
Can someone give me any idea of what type of headache this might be? Causes? Any treatments?
