Hello,

This is has been a bad month for me - full of health problems but I hadn't had a migraine in 7 months until two days ago. I got my usual aura (prisms in the eyes, blurred vision) and took Imitrex right away (25 mg). It got steadily worse and I started getting very painful sinus pressure on the left side of my face. I took Imitrex every two hours until 8 p.m. but the sinus pressure and headache remained. The next day (yesterday), I woke up feeling fine but then got my sinus pressure on the left side back. As the morning went on, the pain traveled into my teeth, jaw, neck, etc. I thought maybe I had a sinus infection since I have recently been diagnosed with asthma, so I made a doctor's appt. By the time I made it into the doctor's office, I was literally almost passing out with pain. The doctor noticed some swelling in my throat, but no sign of infection. I got a shot of Tomordal (sp?) and was told that it was most likely related to my migraine but they prescribed me an antibiotic anyway.

Has anyone else experienced this with a migraine? Mine usually last 6 hours and haven't affected my face.
