Migraines

I've had migraines all my life, I am 39 years old now...I started having them so bad about 9 years ago, that I ended up losing my job about 5 years ago, and I had to get on disability...I have tried a huge range of medications tand different neurologists throughout the years...I've had and still got doctors at the ER and in my doctors offices all thinking that I just want pain meds, even though I've told all of them to do something to help with the nausea, vomiting, and severe pain other than pain meds...My husband, kids and the other people that work in the ER or doctors offices all can see how bad the pain and nausea/vomiting is just by looking at me...I also now have vertigo, IBS, IBD, fibromyalgia, and anxiety/panic attacks, diagnoses in the past 9 years, I can't help but think all of this some how ties into one another...If anyone has any answers or suggestions, I'm more than open to them and Thank You in advance...

Re: Migraines

Have you seen a rheumatologist who specialises in fibromyalgia. My daughter has fibromyalgia and her consultant said her migraines and ibs are common with fibromyalgia suffers. Fibromyalgia is not very well understood and you need some one you can trust to listen to you. There is nothing as bad as too be suffering pain and have people think you are just looking for pain meds, you know your body better than anyone do not let them fob you off.

The best of luck

Re: Migraines

Thank you...I'm very fortunate that my physician is really good, not only a female, but she still cares for her patients, she is a great listener...They finally diagnosed me with fibromyalgia, because I have so many symptoms: the awful pain, IBS, IBD, anxiety, insomnia, nausea, depression, fatigue, memory problems, numbness, and of course the migraines...I just wish there was certain medicine(s) to just help each symptom/problem I am having...Thank you so much for the response...I will keep on, keeping on...
