9 mo headache, neck arm shoulder pain. I'm losing it! Help

On July 17th 2011 I was swimming in a lake the next day began my headache. It started on the left side non stop for 11 days straight. This headache is sharp yet a dull pain and it comes in waves. After the 11 days it stopped for a few then begin daily. It feels like someone has a car cigarette lighter close to my temples then it goes. The veins come out and throbb. It sometimes lasts all day sometimes only for a few hours. I get a day of relief once in a while but daily I deal with this. I have had MRI cat scans and every blood test. The doctors call me crazy and throw pills at me. I want to be done with this not mask the pain. My left side feels bad all the time. I'm talking about my temple, shoulder, hip and back of knee all on my left side.

I've been told its anxiety, but I have had anxiety all my life. I feel as if this is different. It's so depressing. I try to work through it but then I get a wave of it. My MRI was normal not a spot so no m.s. Not migraines. Maybe heart? Maybe gastro? Ugh ! I feel helpless. I'm only 32! I do not have a thyroid been on hormone replacement for almost 10 yrs. maybe it's that? I've been getting mouth blood blisters too idk if that's related .

hello nikki2tall --- any chance you could see a rheumatologist or neurologist? pinched nerves can cause pain as you are describing? rheumatology depts. could tell whether you have any of those related conditions? is there such a thing as a thyroid specialist for you to see to check out this long-term usage for thyroid problems? wishing you well in your search

Yes I have seen a neurologist. They said its migraines. My headache specialist said there not. Had an AnA screen for lupus and other types of arthritic disease . I'm waiting to hear back so I'll let u know. And thank you for your suggestions. It's crazy how important the thyroid is until it's gone. It could possibly be all related to me taking that synthetic hormone for 10 years.
