| | Not sure whats going on with my chronic migraines. Can you help me other suffers?
Hi there, I'm a 44 year old, and feel like 144. lol As a youngster I suffered from headaches very really, but as I grew and went through that puberty, I started having more headaches manly around the time when I had my periods around 12 years old, and if they were heavy period, that when I would notice I have them stick around for a good couple of days., I fell pregnant with my first child, I was In and out of hospital with threatening miscarriages/early delivery, managed to carry full term 7lb 5oz, (while I was in Hospital they injected me with steroids to help baby lung to develop if she was born early). On occasions I would suffer the dreaded headaches, I don't recall have problem with High blood pressure, or anything like that, mainly trying to keep the little bugger in there. they later told me it was irritable uterus, and very active baby. On 2nd the pregnancy , same kind of thing, again steroids for baby lungs, she was born 35 weeks prem didn't need to be in a incubator as she could breath on her own, so very tiny 3lb 9oz, they seem to think her placenta had stopped growing, and that why the early birth. My third child I didn't have a much problems with but near the end I had few times in the hospital, I think with a bit of High blood pressure/swollen ankles and slight headache. I carried her to full term, tiny 4lb 14oz, had emergency cesarean, as the cord was wrapped around her neck. my marriage broke up 6 month after she was born, I went through post-natal depression I left my husband and sadly the children in his care. I continued to have health problem, more headaches/migraines, When My youngest sister got married they had Xmas lights in the hall they had hired for there reception, well that set of a real beauty of a migraine, they were having speeches and I was outside spewing with the worst migraine I've ever had, when home slept all night, woke up feeling like ok what did I miss, Since then My headaches have gotten a heck of a lot worst, I get lights and flecky zig zaggy kind of things before my migraine starts, and some times I don't even get a migraine and the zig zaggy lines that started small and got bigger and bigger and given me blind spot for a while. most time I feel sick and so tired, I can go to bed and sleep and that the next time I woke the headache is like a bad hangover. 2 years Ago I was to start my so deserve holiday that I had planned, and woke In the morning about 2am with really bad headache, normally I don't get this bad but It was so Intensive, It felt like a very heavy band like around my head, with so much pressure beening squeezed, if you turned me upside down and drilled a hole in my head, and released the pressure by draining my head of its fluid. That day I was so sick, I slept, I took panadol as I was out of my usual migraine pills, and hoped that I would come right, couple of days later still wasn't right and went and seen my local GP, told him about it, he gave me some meds that made me really sleepy and not with it at all, went back to him still complaining about my headache and a troubling eye problem that I have developed since then. he didn't seem to be over all concern, so I went to another doc and got second opinion, I had hight blood pressure, that was through the roof, she tried a antiflam to help with the migraine and ordered full bloods works, seen another doc a couple of day later he wanted a CT scan and warned me that it might come back normal, and it did, sent me to Neurologist, told me that I have nervons( wasn't really sure what he meant)and that my cells are fighting and attaching each other,he wrote me a letter that my problem was chronic daily headaches analgesic related, on the basis of common and classic migraine, nothing like he told me that nervons thingee, since then I have been to Haematologist and they did more bloods at 1st first hematologist/student doc thought it wasn't PV that and that she get me to do more bloods read what the Neurologist report and talked with the Big Hem doctor, send me away with we believe you got about a month, might see you in 6 months and next time I seen the hematologist thought that my red blood cells were still averagely high, high in Iron, so he ordered bone marrow biopsy found out Jak2 negative, and that I have a blood condition called PV (Polycytheamia Vera) do weekly venesection(blood-letting)and see you again in 6 weeks, in the mean time I did 2 venesection as blood levels returned back to normal and see him again in December this year now. Been to Pain management and they say probable Fibromyalgia, and possibility of benign Blepharospasm and had written Idiopathic Erythrocytosis, low Erythropoietin from hematology??? , Been to a Ophthalmology specialist, they thought my eye problem might be related to my headaches, gave me some eye drops and see me again in a few weeks time on how the drops are going. So you can see why I very confused about it all, they are reduced my pills like gabapentin, they tried me on amitriptyline, and nortriptyline but started have really weird head sensations like nerve sensations, dry mouth, that was like full of salt. man I had it up to here, I just want my life back, where I was fit and able, these days, I have pins and needles and my hands, sometime it like electric shock sensations, wake in the morning like dead hands, I have red palms and my finger tips hurt, burning, I have bad muscle spasms at times. well sorry it so long I hope someone can help me out. thanks for listening.
