| Headaches...
Hello Everyone....
So I've been on Healthboards for years and found it very rewarding to know that there are people out there who are going through the same issues as I am. To know that what I am feeling is "normal" makes me feel at ease and just having someone to hear me out, does make me feel better.
My headaches have started since October 28. I blamed it on my sinuses because it is the perfect weather to blame it on. It was also when Hurricane Sandy was in our area. So I blamed it on the cold weather settling in. But I am not one who usually gets headaches....so I dealt with it for one week, every single day for the whole day. It was like a cloud over my head 24/7. Pain was on my forehead and on the back left side of my head. On Monday, Nov 5, I went to see my doctor and he said that my sinuses were bad...gave me steroid shots and prescriptions for prednisone, augmentin and fioricet. After the shot, I already felt better and headache free for 2 days. By Thursday, still on prednisone and augmentin, I started getting a headache again. Not as bad as when I wasn't on any meds but I started to feel that "cloud over my head" feeling again. Well...it is now the 14th and that cloud hasn't gone away.
I don't know what is going on with my head. I am still able to function but I just feel like sleeping all the time. I am not one who naps but when I get a chance, I have to close my eyes and I also notice that certain glares and lights do tend to intensify the headache.
Just needed to vent and to hear that I am not going crazy or anything. I have a follow up appt on the 19th so I am going to ask the doctor to take some bloodwork to see if any numbers are off which may be causing these headaches. I do have a history of anemia and hashimotos thyroiditis but those I think are under control.
