Severe Head Pain during and after neck massage
I had a neck massage today and when she focused on one side of my neck it sent shooting pain up to my head and nearly made me pass out. It was one sided and very intense. I have a painful headache and eye pressure now 12 hours after the incident. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

It sounds like you have experienced a cervicogenic headache. By now, if you still have pain, you might want to see your doctor or a neurologist.

The fact you developed headaches after a neck massage indicates you may have cervical disc problems. That was my experience. Ask your Dr to order a Cervical MRI. Good Luck

I agree with the previous posters, call the doc! When I was going to physical therapy for my migraines/neck issues I felt 100% WORSE because of all the messaging and exercises. I just quit going!
