Re: Can tight neck in behind area cause dizzy, headache, sleepy?
Pain in back of neck is usually from muscle tension, which can definitely cause headache. Perhaps dizziness and sleepiness as well, but less connected than headache. The muscle tension can be from stress or positional strain from job, etc. A muscle relaxant can help but after 4 months may take a couple of weeks to get them to relax. Massage can help, as well as heat. If muscles are tense, it will hurt to stretch them, ie., bending neck forward will cause uncomfortable pulling sensation and increase the headache. If that doesn't help. xrays of neck may be needed to see if arthritis may be contributing to problem.
