Hi, I had a UTI back in July and didn't get treated (because the doctor never called me) until August. So I sat with an infection in me for at least a month. Well my insurance ran out the end of July and I haven't had any coverage since. My doctor's office will not even see me unless I have insurance or pay up front, which most people do not have the money to do. My sides hurt so bad when I touch them along with some stomach pains I have been getting. Before my priority was money, wondering how I am going to pay. Now I know that shouldn't matter and I should take care of myself first so I think I am going to the hospital tomorrow since I can not get care anywhere else. I know it's going to cost so much AND to make matters worse the public assistance office offers health care but there is a 5 month waiting list! I live in the US in the state of Pennsylvania. So my question is...isn't there someway my hospital visit could be paid for or I could get some help. I do live on my own (with boyfriend) and I make only $2 more than minimum wage an hour! Sorry to ramble on but I am lost, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
