I am looking for a supplemental insurance to "gap" my medicare policy. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good/fast paying, affordable insurance company? Thanks.

I would call 1-800-MEDICARE, and get a list of the plans offered in your state. Medigap is a specific type of insurance policy and is heavily regulated by both Medicare & the state.

I know the AARP policy is popular, but it is not the only one available. As long as you get a Medigap policy recongized by Medicare, you won't have to file any claims or worry about payment's as long as you use Medicare participating providers.

I got the AARP supplement insurance. I never have to pay anything. They cover everything Medicare does not pay. I costs me $212.50 per month though.

You can also try [url]www.medicare.gov[/url], which has plans and premiums for many of them on the web.

FYI, Medigap policies are given a letter code -- such as C, J, F, etc. Every C policy will cover the same items, every J item will cover the same, etc. This is true in every state except Wisconsin.

Are there any "gap" types of inurance for people not old enough to get medicare with other insurance like Cigna, Blue Cross or Aetna? They don't cover a lot of my pain managment stuff.
