Post Health Insurance Consumer Advocate information

This thread is for posting consumer help info for complaints against insurance companies for denial of care, specialist referral difficulty, authorization delay, etc.

This thread is closed to avoid misuse.

ONLY AFTER
you go through the contracted appeals process
with your HMO insurance company


NOT for PPO, self-insured, etc. ONLY for HMO complaints


The Department of Corporations established a phone number for HMO complaints for denied claims, denied specialist access, etc:

The toll free number is (800) 400-0815

Open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
