I called about my SSDI application status and was told that it was no longer in QR but was now in the "transmittal" stage. Can someone explain what this means? Is this good or bad etc?
Sounds to me like it is being sent somewhere else (another stage) in the QR process. I would have asked what do you mean when she told you "transmittal" stage? I would call back and ask.
Here is what a friend of mine told me in another forum FWIW. He use to work for the SSA.
Quote:
They're stalling. Case is being "transmitted" (sent) to the next
processing station. SSA personnel are instructed not to reveal final
decisions, such as the results of QA review over the phone. You have
to be dealing with a worker bee who doesn't follow all the procedures
strictly, and be pretty persuasive yourself to get him/her to reveal
that kind of info verbally.
Blueskies, So does that mean that like it said they are stalling its really not in any stage just still at QR. and can't give information but instead of just saying it still at QR and we are not allowed eighter way to tell the desion. Is that what you mean they are just saying its transmittal meaning in QR and can't reveal decsion.
