Play down the 'I'm going on vacation'. It doesn't bode well for someone who's making a disability claim. I wanted to go on a cruise, take a break and get away from all this crap while I was waiting and waiting -- and if you've ever been on a cruise, you know that there is NOT ONE FINGER to lift. You literally live in luxury. Everything is done for you.
My atty nearly had a stroke! Concerned that the court would take that as I can't work but I can go on vacation and party.
So I just would say going out of town - IF you must give them any info regarding that at all. Otherwise, leave it out.
I so agree with this. we all know that we are the most deserving people for a Vacation. We all need a break from the Crap that Social Security makes us go through. I would not mention the Vacation, that might cause a flag to go up, you do not need to mention it.
