After a long fight with ssi I filed a new claim for my daughter and she has just been approved. I recieved a letter from the local office requesting an interview for financial verification. I submitted the requested information earlier this week. Does anyone know how long it will before she starts recieving monthly benefits? I have not recieved the actual award letter as of yet. A few people have told me they recieved a check before they recieved an award letter. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I have my fingers crossed hoping we recieve something before Christmas. And to all who are still battling the system I have been where you are and my heart and prayers go out to you.
