SS disability mistake, question about repayment

Hello,
I'm at my wits end, I have collected SS disability since 2009, my monthly payments were $569, then they were increased to $580 and because of a rise in the cost of living in 2013 the amount has been $642.

Last year I received a letter asking me to fill paperwork in as they said I earned $7,700 for 2011, this is a mistake as I didn't work at all, I sent recorded delivery letters, left numerous messages and never heard back for anyone.

Last week I received a letter saying I an still entitled to disability, yesterday I received another saying they had made a mistake when they said I had worked, they had increased the disability amount because they thought I had been working and now I must repay what was over paid which is another mystery as.....they are saying they overpaid $872 and $147 and the total is over $8,000 which makes no sense...my disability is being reduced back to $569 until they start recovering the over payments.

If they are reducing it back to the original amount of $569 that doesn't include the rising cost of living, also how much are they going to start taking off my monthly check??

If anyone can help I'd be so grateful, I paid bills with my monthly check and now because it's going to be reduced even more I'm not going to be able to make it.
Thank you very much for any help.
