| | Pre existing conditions and exclusion by a new group plan
I was recently diagnosed with Barret's esophagus. I am also getting ready to change jobs. I will have one month of COBRA coverage before my other coverage begins. I will get a certificate of creditable coverage and have been covered by my current plan for about 17 months.
Can they deny me coverage at my new job? Should I try to avoid going to the doctor until January 1st? My current diagnosis just says that I need to be monitored yearly.
If I have to go to the dr for other reasons such as seasonal allergies, do I have to disclose the Barret's?
Will the creditable coverage help me out?
