This site has made me a normal person again, if that's possible. I've spent 18 months thinking I'm going mad. My health problems not only seemed to baffle the hospital but were driving me mental. For months I underwent heart tests because I kept having attacks where my heart rate would go up to 185 and I get spells of feeling really unwell. Then I discover this site and realise I'm just perimenopausal, I'm ecstatic !!!! Am I the first woman to be relieved that its just my hormones?? See I'm not a hypochondriac, I'm not mad, I'm just hormonal. For the first time yesterday I felt normal again. I can live with the symptoms now I know what is wrong with me and I suppose looking on the bright side at least my heart got an MOT. My only disappointment is that the hospital (where I work!!!), my GP and even my gynaecologist couldn't seem to put two and two together. They assured me I'm not menopausal but they forgot to mention that there are loads of symptoms, very real symptoms, that accompany being perimenopausal. So thank you once again to this life saving site. My sanity returned I'll be a happier girlie.
