This site is a life saver! Thank you so much.
As someone who is facing a very scary surgery of a very personal nature (hemorrhoidectomy), I have to thank you from the very bottom of my heart for healthboards.com. I happened upon this website after my surgeon sent me home to research 'hemorrhoidectomy' to learn more about it before he would schedule my surgery.
What I learned was enough to make me run the other way, but in the end, I feel like I am armed with real information provided by real people who have had this very same surgery and have been kind enough to share their experiences. I am a big believer of 'knowledge is power' and it has made the biggest difference in my state of mind ... and I think we all know that a positive state of mind does wonders to assist with healing.
You Healthboard.com folks are helping people who otherwise would have no voice. You deserve many kudos and I hope other people are able to find and use your site - to see for themselves the enormous public service you offer. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have given me a voice.
I am now 16 days post op. My recovery was easy compared to many I have read about on these threads - and I believe that is because of the information found at healthboards.com. I went into my surgery informed and prepared. I came through with flying colors and was prepared for every single thing I've encountered. Thank you healthboards.com - and all the wonderful people who have posted so much information. Where would we be without you!
May your holiday season be wonderful. Keep up the good work.
