I am currently going to the local cummunity college, persuing an Associate of Science degree as an R.N. It's a two year program, but I'll be there for about 3 because I have to work and I'm a single parent. Have you checked with any local cumminty colleges regarding their nursing programs. I know that my college offers a.a. & a.s. degrees for nursing. The a.a. degree is you complete two years at the community college and then transfer to a state university for the other two years and you graduate with a bachelors degree in nursing. The a.s. degree is you complete 2 years and then you are licensed, R.N., to work and then you can go back to school for the bachelors when you're ready, which is what I'm doing.
