ok, im considering a career in either med rad tech/ultra sound or lab tech--

im 41 now

I had a criminal record since 93 --indictable for growing some dope plants in my back yard....got a pardon in 2004

So im wondering if i can enter the health care field ? If i can get licencing ?

and if im employable in this field ? Some hospitals will ask if i have ever been charged or convicted and they might ask if im of moral character (those would disqualifying)

I do have a Ba; psych/crim. 1999 SFU---but the criminology field wouldnt take me--they do polygraphs, enhanced background checks and ask those questions---so my previous pardoned record still is an issue

I think that it would depend on your employer. They say that a criminal record should not keep you from employment, but you and I both know some take it very seriously. Also, it depends on the crime. All you did was grow pot. You did not assualt anyone, or harm anyone. That should weigh heavily, that you are not a violent offender, or dangerous in any way.
