I am not a nurse but I have to applaude you for what you are doing-what a wonderful field. I was in the hosptial for 3 months with ARDS and my nurses are what kept me going a lot of the time-they were such wonderful caring people.

I am a nurse...been there done that glad it's you and not me...!!!but i see u r in canada--does ur school have a nursing organization? i know that was a benefit...nursing school can be a bear, but it is such an awesome learning experience...you never get to see some procedures once you have graduated!!I love being a nurse--RN--we have many nurses from Canada working down here with us and I love them..your country requirements are a bit stricter in some ways--and I've seen some wonderful nursing due to that....hang in there1!The rewards of nursing are wonderful...ya, there are some rotten parts,but thankfully, they are the minority!!!

I have been a nurse now for 6 years.... It is the best thing that I have ever done. Hang in there it will pay off....

I've been a nurse off and on since 1979. Am semi-retired now. Did some more schooling in 1987-1991-- got my teacher's credentials. Then, I was able to move into teaching CNA's, doing infection control, staff development and CQI (more administrative "stuff"). There are so many avenues to take after you get your "sheepskin", so hang in there. Bounce questions off of us if you need to-- it's good for our brain cells. Lory
