Soy?

Hi,
I've read about the many benefits of soy, and the many dangers. My question is, is it only when one consumes a lot of soy when it is dangerous? I probably only have one cup of soy milk a day because i feel it's better than cows milk. What do you think?

If you have any kind of thyroid condition, I would RUN from it. If not, I still would be cautious. My opinion is I wouldn't drink it even if I were healthy. I don't think it's fit for consumption. I think there are lot more dangers than benefits.

If you don't want to drink cow's milk, why not try rice milk, or almond milk? I think they are pretty good.

Soy is a cash cow for food producers, who buy it dirt cheap then sell it at an inflated price to consumers as "health food"

dont be affraid of soy Jess.. if I were you id be more affraid of wheat..soy is not toxic but, wheat is. But like the other poster said, make a variety of milks, like regular organic, rice milk, almond milk, soy milk(soy nice)..I drink it too, LOL its gluten free.. .. kieep it up jess.., you'r doing great

Well, I think cow's milk and dairy products are fine, myself. But if you don't really care for them, I wouldn't bother with them. If you are lactose intolerant, they would probably not be a good thing for you. Otherwise, anything is better than soy, that's my opinion.

Wheat is NOT toxic, but if you have gluten intolerance you probably cannot eat wheat products because of it.
