Im not sure if this is in the right board, but whatever. I just recently started working out again at the gym, I had stopped for a few months because I was working too much and didnt get around to it though I should have. I go pretty much everyday for the past few weeks, but take the weekends off and like one day during the week. The thing is I have been getting sore muscles like crazy from working out, they just wont go away! I figured by now Id be use to working out again and the sore muscles wouldnt last for weeks and weeks because they never have before. I wanna understand but I dont get why this is going on!! I really thought they would have maybe gone away by now!!??

You're working out every day? If you're doing a complete upper and lower body workout, you're not giving your muscles enough time to repair. You need to work the upper half one day and the lower half the next, to let each muscle group rest. Your muscles will get more benefit from the rest than from a constant workout. Also, be sure to do your warmups and stretches before your workout, and more stretches after your workout. The stretching is critical. If you're already doing these things, then the pain might be from too much weight, or too many reps, but I suspect the reason for the pain is you're doing a whole body workout each time and not stretching enough. Other than those things, I can't think of anything else that would make your muscles sore for so long.

what he says is right and also you should look into getting some MSM(methylsulphonalmethane) it is very good for sore muscles(and headaches too)
and is about as natural as anything gets.
