Ear noises - Hearing Disorders Message Board

Hi all,

Have developed a hearing problem over the last year. My left ear feels plugged most of the time. Here is the strange thing. I can make noise come out of my ears by adjusting my throat and talking. Any one else have this "ability"? I do have tinnitus, also.
I went to an ENT (cost me $155.00) and he could find nothing wrong. Naturally, I could not make the sound out of the ear for him on demand.Others can hear it, though, so I have not gone off the deep end here.
Ear still feels plugged.
Any ideas? Or has any one else heard of this?

hi,
i can do this with throat muscles....what does your sound like, a snap or pop?
crackling? talking causes loud popping or snaping....
i have some sort of myoclonus....going to nih to sort it ou.
