or the eustachian tube disorder one. Do they stick anything in your ear. How about the palatal myoclonus? Thanks.

for Palatal it is a very delicate procedure where they stick an electrical probe in the palate and measure for movement. If they are not careful the carotid artery is very close by. For middle ear I don't think they can test but they sure as hell can see the eardrum move around. That is pretty much and easy one to figure out. Palatal is more difficult to see and of course friggin untreatable outside of drugs. I have both. Had my TT and Stapedial snipped recently in my left ear and that worked great. Only prob is I have ETD caused by palatal myoclonus in the same ear as well. Have middle ear myo in the right ear that needs to be fixed as well. I guess they can still botox the palate tho but that is a bit scary if they over do it.

it truley takes a skilled and informed dr to dx this condition, they can watch the palate and the middle ear, but sometimes they see nothing, they have to catch the muscle in the act, some tympanograms can pick it up as well.
and of course a few drs can dx this just by the symptoms.
i also had the tendons severed and it has helped a great deal....
botox is an option.....if they really know how to hit the palate right....
