Hello,

A week ago on Sunday morning, I abruptly lost most of my hearing in my right ear. I went from hearing like a 15-year-old, (I am much older than that) to losing 70% of my hearing. I have suffered with asthma and allergies all of my life, but have never had ear/hearing problems. I am writing for some feedback/advice, if possible. Thankfully, I have regained a little bit of hearing, but still, I have the horrible ringing, buzzing, fullness and dizziness associated with a viras-induced hearing loss.

I am praying to God that my hearing comes back, and am wondering if those of you who have experienced hearing loss, would be generous enough to share your thoughts with me. How long did it take for your hearing to come back? Did it completely come back, or only part of it? Did you experience vertigo? I am feeling so sick and get the spins off and on. Horrible! I was on Prednisone and am still on antibiotics hoping that the meds will kick-in.

I am very depressed as I don't want to lose my hearing and absolutely hate the noises that are ringing through my ear. Awful. Should I be patient in knowing that it will take some time, if and when my hearing will come back?
