Fluctuating hearing loss in children and ears that produce to much wax - Hearing Disorders Message Board

my son 8 years old has flucuating hearing loss, with dizziness, feelings of the world going up and down when he walks, fullness feelings in his ear, hissing noises. All this in his right ear. I have been to many doctors who say that his ears just produce to much wax, and they flush them but by the next day he still has all the feelings.
His ears do produce alot of wax dark in color and always have, but the ear wax removal technics are not helping to keep the wax down, or with the other symptoms.
Has anyone else had this problem with the ears producing to much wax????? Or experienced any of the other symptoms????Because I don't know where else to turn for help...this is creating major problems at school because the teachers think he's not paying attention, when really it's because he can't hear.
The school even ran learning disabilty tests on him to see if he had a learning disabilty but all came back just fine...I NEED YOUR HELP.

I am wondering if maybe he doesn't have some sinus problems with this. Why not see if you doctor would consider sinus x-rays to check for sinus infection or sinusitis. As for the excess ear wax......everyone produces a different amount and I have not heard of any way to reduce how much wax your body produces. I would suggest getting an otoscope (cheap one) to use at home to check his ears on a routine (monthly or bi-montly basis)use debrox drops as needed to keep the wax soft and buy an ear flushing kit to use at home as these are readily available at a pharmacy department of any store. If sinus x-rays are negative you might ask your doctor about trying one sudafed at bedtime or whatever the doctor recommends for the feeling of fullness in his ears to see if this helps.
