Though I would recommend a doctor do the cleaning, you can buy ear wax cleaning kits over the counter (Murine comes to mind, Debrox another). They all use carbamide peroxide and take several applications and don't always clear the ear....worth a try!
NEVER try to poke out the wax- NEVER (even with Q-Tips)
Just put the drops in and keep it in for as long as you can by lying on your other side. Do it for several days and then finally rinse with lukewarm water (syringe comes with the kit). If it doesn;t work in about a week, go see a doctor, there's nothing more you can do at home.
Know also that you could very well have MIDDLE ear inflammation liquid/pus/scarring...this is strictly a doctor's purview.
