Pneumonia Caused Hearing Problem
Back on March 14 I got pneumonia real bad. All the coughing I did pushed fluid up into my ears. I could hardly hear at all for a while. After a couple months my right ear was better but not my left. I constatly had ringing in my ear, it was driving me nuts. After 3 months I finally got in to see the specialist. She went in and shot me with the laser to make a hole for the fluid to drain. After two weeks I felt a big pop in my left ear and sounds got and still are very loud. Besides the loud sounds and get very dizzy and have veritgo. I also still have the ringing some. I saw the doctor again this past monday she looked in my ear and told me the fluid that was in my ear formed a hard barrier over my ear drum. She laid down the chair and told me she was going to try and remove it. The doctor said if I didn't move it wouldn't hurt, it did. She only got off 1/3 of the barrier. She gave me mineral oil to try and remove the rest of it. She said that maybe this would help with my symtoms. If it doesn't she'll try something else. I just wanted someone elses thoughts on the matter.
