 Help for a blind girl with deafness pls!
Hi there,
I had a very successful stapedectomy last yr. I only had the oto in one ear. I didn't experience any pain or bad effects after the op...it was really weird..and after they took the packing out, the world just boomed! That's settled down now and I am no longer returning 'faulty' phones to the phone company!!!
I need to ask you a question....I am part of a newsgroup that has a blind girl who has oto on. She is obviously nervous of the op. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good surgeon in the NY area that performs this op????? She has had a bad experience already.....even though the surgeon knew she was blind etc, he said she would be fine. After all her nerves and worry, she showed up for the op and they refused to do it.
Please, if anyone knows of an experieced reputable doctor in NY, pls advise and let me know why they are good.
I am in Aus so haven't a clue.
