The audiologist said it doesn't make a difference what David's hearingloss is in the inbetween frequencies, but I think it does.
She woudn't test the inbetween frequencies. LadyEagle
I did research on this, and I believe it does affect him. Thankfully he is in a small class at school. He used to have hearing aids-they got ruined. In inbetween frequencies-at age 3 and a half-he was
diagnosed with moderate hearingloss in 2 or 3 higher end inbetwn. frequencies. DSHS won't pay for testing the inbetween frquencies.
What to do?

Actually, David's audiologist is correct. "In between" frequencies are not tested since an average can already be calculated between four different frequencies (250 Hz, 500 Hz, 750 Hz and 1000 Hz) in order to determine the degree of his hearing loss. Even if the "in between" frequencies were accounted for, it would not add any additional information about the extent of David's hearing loss.
