I normally hear my tinnitus, for a couple of seconds, it is usually a ringing or a thump or whatever it may be.

But the past couple of days, it has been constant and will not go away, it is driving me crazy. I want to shoot myself in the head to get rid of it.

It is like the sound of a locust, but constant, buzzing in my ear.

How can I make it stop, I can't concentrate on anything because of this.

I layed in bed last night for an extra hour until my body let me fall asleep, because of the constant buzzing........

I have this same thing. Mine seems to go away and come back whenever it feels like it! Usually its like a weekly thing, but it's annoying! I always have to ask someone who is RIGHT NEXT TO ME to raise their voice a bit so I can hear due to this.

I had tinnitus for the longest time, and the most annoying thing was that no doctor could ever fix it. I hadn't had an accident, there was nothing phyisically wrong, I just had the most horrible whining sound, ALL the time. I finally found out that a lot of tinnitus isn't caused by the ear, it's caused by the brain mixing up signals from the ear.

The thing that helped me was sound therapy. Basically they give you this player with classical music on it that you listen to for hours at a really low volume. It re-trains your brain to focus on sounds properly. It took a while, but it's helped SO much - I can finally talk to people on the phone.

I don't know if it works for everyone, but I really recommend it. Hope that helps!

Is there any way for me to get this sound therapy? I'm willing to try anything at this point.

The company I used is called Sound Therapy International. If you google that it's the first result. They have a bunch of different programs for different things, so there's a good chance they'll be able to fix you up with something. I recommend them because I didn't have to order dodgy stuff over the internet, I could actually go to an office and have a conversation with someone.
