My mother had stapedectomy a month back. A doctor is saying that the nerve has been damaged as piston has not been properly placed or has displaced and it has to be removed. She is unable to hear from her operated ear though she feels vibrations sometimes(very rarely) from the same. She doesn't like hearing loud noises, and has headache often.
She is on steroids and medicines which will help in healing nerve for 14 days almost and there is no improvement.
