 A little advice for others who have a Hearing loss
I was born deaf with a Severe to Profound hearing loss... I undergoed alot of hearing test and self exams and went from audiologist to audiologist and teacher after teacher... but after my 17 years of life, I discovered it really isnt that bad Its a looking glass self.. I grew up with other deaf people and signlanguage is my main language I have perfect speech and excellent sense of self advocacy and listening skills... I wear a hearing aid in my right ear and my left ear is left compleatly dead... Now being in a mainstream school with younger students that look up to me I proclaim it my duty to be a role model and show them that its not easy but It gets better...
