Post-Stapedectomy. 4th day and face is swelling
Dear all,
On my operated side my face is visibilly swollen. I've read a lot of reviews but no one mentions that the face gets swollen.

Has this happenned to any one else?

Curious...

Didn't happen to me, but I slept sitting up for a couple of days. Def. call the the doctor.

I had stapedectomy on 20th June:I had no such issue so you must immediately contact doctor because swelling might be indicative of something else which should be taken care of in the initial stages.Wishing you a very quick recovery.

I had my surgery on June 3rd did not have that issue at all. I also slept in a sitting up position also for a couple of days. Call your doctor for sure!!!

I started sleeping in a sitting position after reading all your posts and the swelling stopped and has since decreased. I just saw my doctor today and he says its fine.
