Adapting to hearing aids...

I'm finally getting my first pair of hearing aids at age 40. I've had severe hearing loss in my right ear since birth and I've developed a mild loss in my left ear. I'm a bit worried about how effectively my brain will adapt to processing the sound coming into my right ear with the hearing aids.

I've ordered the Siemens 701 Pure Carat RIE type.

Any advice for me as I learn to use/adapt to my new hearing aids?
