 Ears ringing for years
I am a 56 year old male. I was in the service in 71-73. I was around gunfire and explosions. I also worked on a flight line where there was alot of helicopter and some jet traffic. since then i have had a ringing in both ears. When watching tv i have to have the sound all the way up and still can't hear it well. I can be right next to someone and have to ask them to repeat themselves over and over. It has gotten to the point that i try to stay out of conversations because i get tired of saying huh or what. It is driving me and those around me crazy. I also get ear blockages 2 or 3 times a year usually around a season change. That i know of i have never had my ears cleaned by a Dr. I have cleaned them out during these blockages with a key or something but when i do i can tell the inside of my ear is swollen. I hope someone can help me out here with your experience. I am seeing a service officer from DAV tommorrow to apply to get my disability rating raised. I have delt with this for 39 years.
